2017 Annual Auction Committee

United Way is proud to announce that its 2nd Annual “LIVE UNITED Over the Edge” Event is coming to Manchester June 28/29, 2018. The event, which is a collaborative fundraiser for many local non-profits, raised over $140,000 in 2017 and is projected to more than double that in 2018. Brady Sullivan is once again the generous building venue sponsor, and the brave 140 plus rappelers will be going Over the Edge at their 1000 Elm Street building in Manchester. According to United Ways’  Mike Apfelberg, “We are very proud of our partnership with Arthur Sullivan and his team at 1000 Elm Street. Their building is an exquisite venue for rappelling and at 300 feet and 24 stories, we simply could not find a location in the Granite State more worthy of this event. Huge thanks to the Brady Sullivan Company for their commitment to our community!”

This year’s event will be once again kicked off by the incredible Kelly Ayotte / Jamie Staton VIP Team. Last year their participation was highlighted in a segment on WMUR’s Chronicle Show which demonstrated their commitment to community and their bravery at going Over the Edge. What is really new this year is the increased scope of the event, which will double in size by going from 2 to 4 simultaneous rappelling lines, making it possible for a full 140 participants from 23 different non profits to get involved. Each non profit which is involved raises money which directly benefits their own organization, making this the state’s only truly collaborative fundraiser. “The collaborative nature of this event emphasizes our motto of LIVING UNITED. We know that it takes a village to make lasting change in our community, which is why this event is so special,” according to Apfelberg.

At this point, United Way is looking for event sponsors as well as individual participants. Sponsorships for this very high profile event range from $2,500 to $25,000 with all sponsors receiving significant marketing value and all revenues benefitting the collaboration of non-profits.
